GARDEN CITY, N.Y., August 1, 2017 — Do you need a high school equivalency diploma or would you like to improve your English language skills? Nassau BOCES Adult Learning Center (ALC) can help with a variety of classes including: English as a Second Language (ESL), Adult Basic Education (ABE) or High School Equivalency (HSE) classes. Registration for fall programs run August 18 – September 29. Specific dates, times and locations are listed below.
The fall session is from September 11, 2017 - February 2, 2018. Location specific dates are determined by class schedules. Prospective students must register in person at one of the following locations, at the specified dates and times:

Prospective students should plan to be at registration for at least four hours. Photo ID is required for all students at all locations. Students must be at least 18 years of age and not enrolled in any local school district.
There is a nonrefundable registration fee, ranging from $55 to $80 (based on the class and its meeting times per week, course and location) payable by money order only. This fee entitles registrants to take ALC classes through February 2, 2018. There are additional fees for textbooks and or computer software.
